Firefighter, astronaut, chef or hockey player: LinoClass gives each child one of 30 career avatars. On the tablet, the student scans the class QR poster and taps their first name. No password, no email, nothing to type. The code stays valid all year and only works during school hours.
Guide: students' first sign-inThe portfolio is the heart of LinoClass. Everything the child makes or says goes in, you approve what goes to the parents' feed, and you can look back on the whole year, week by week.
Tap the child's face, then Photo, Video, Audio, Drawing or Note: the moment goes straight into their portfolio. Your students can also photograph or draw their own work on the tablet.
What your students send from the tablet arrives marked “Awaiting approval” and only reaches the parents' feed after you tap “Approve”. Teamwork? A single “Approve” drops a copy into every teammate's portfolio.

Write down in a few sentences what you saw. In kindergarten, also tag the domains it touches: the five domains of Quebec's Preschool Cycle Program, in the Ministry's colours. One tap then brings up everything for a domain.

Prepare a sheet, import a PDF or pick the sidewalk writing lines of Quebec exercise books, then record the instructions out loud. See at a glance who handed in, who is in progress and who has not started.
Guide: creating an activityTap one or more faces, then a challenge. Students trade their points for your privileges. On their tablet, each student only sees their own.
Guide: giving pointsWrite to one parent, or to both in the same conversation. An announcement marked “Important” goes out right away by email to every parent, and as a notification to those who turned notifications on.
Guide: writing to parentsPencil, eraser, shapes, letters, stickers: every tool is drawn as a real object a five-year-old recognizes right away. A tap on “Done” saves the drawing to the child's portfolio.
Guide: the canvas toolsYou use LinoClass in French or English, and each parent picks the language of their own screen. Announcements and the weekly email go out in the class language.

Once your school board is registered with us, your teachers sign in with their work account, with no LinoClass password. Each account can be created automatically on first sign-in.
At the request of the school or the school board, our team turns off points, messaging with parents or parent comments for every class in the school, and shows or hides the domains for families.
Each parent fills in their child's consent form, and a refusal blocks that type of media. In each class, the permissions report shows, for each student, their parents, what is allowed or refused, and the date of the answer.
No advertising and no data resale. No biometric data is collected, and no AI model is trained on student data.
A person responsible for protecting personal information is named in our governance policy. Send one email and we delete your account data within 30 days.
LinoClass is built for Law 25. For individual teacher accounts, Lino Ti Inc., a Quebec company, is subject to the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR, c. P-39.1). A school service centre or school board is a public body: it falls under the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information (CQLR, c. A-2.1). When it contracts LinoClass, it remains the holder of the information and we act as its mandatary under a written mandate (s. 67.2). The same Act requires it to conduct a privacy impact assessment before it acquires a system that processes personal information (s. 63.5). We provide our privacy impact assessment, written in French, to your access-to-information committee.
