The child signs in alone, with no password

Nobody types a password at five. The child points the tablet at the class poster, finds their name and their avatar, and they are in their portfolio.

In Kindergarten, learning can be seen and heard, but the learner cannot write it down. The program asks you to observe, and observation takes time you do not have. LinoClass starts from there: a capture takes ten seconds, and there is nothing to file afterwards.

These are five-year-olds' data. We treat them that way.

Nothing leaves without you

A photo or a piece of work reaches families only when you approve it. Family comments pass through you before they appear, too.

Deletion on request

A parent can ask for their child's data to be erased, and a teacher who leaves can download everything and then have it all deleted, within 30 days.

What Kindergarten teachers ask us

Does it work for four-year-olds?
Yes. The student screens have no text to read: icons, big buttons and an avatar per child. At four, the teacher usually does the capturing and the child watches their portfolio grow. At five, most children take their own photos and make their own drawings.
How does a five-year-old sign in without a password?
Each class gets a printed QR code, valid for the school year. The child points the tablet camera at it, then taps their name and avatar in the list. The code only works between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., and the session closes after 8 hours.
What do families see, and when?
Whatever you approve, as soon as you approve it. A parent gets a link by email, with no account and no app to install. They see the class feed, their child's page and one page per week. On Friday, an email recaps the week.
What if a parent refuses photos?
They say so in their consent form, separately for photos, video and audio. On your side, the camera greys out for that child and the class consent report shows you at a glance who allowed what. A parent can change their mind at any time.
Is it really free for a Kindergarten class?
Yes, for a class of 35 students or fewer, with no time limit and no credit card: photos, drawings, the class feed, announcements and messages with families. Video, audio, a second class and students beyond 35 are part of the Pro plan, at CA$79 per year per teacher, plus tax.
